Canadians for Indian Democracy (CID)
Introduction
Canadians for Indian Democracy (CID) functions as a nerve center in Canada that espouses social justice and democratic values with a focus on India and the widespread Indian Diaspora. We aim to achieve this through programmatic interventions with academic conferences, media, community engagement, and government outreach that bring together civil society/movements, local businesses, academia, popular culture, other influencers, and policymakers.
As a facilitator, CID will work to expand the network and intersectional solidarity among civil society and advocate to influence community and government policies to bring positive change and help peace and security in Canada and India.

In Canada, CID will also focus on new immigrants, students, and anti-racist campaigns and champion the cause of the Indian diaspora as a multi-faith and inclusive community.
